Terms and ConditionsBy booking a rehearsal or recording at The Rhoom Studios, you are agreeing unconditionally on behalf of yourself/your band to these terms and conditions. Booking a rehearsal You can book a rehearsal:
Your session is booked as soon as I confirm either in person, in an email, over the phone or in a txt message. Payment:Payment can be made by either cash, cheque or an online bank transfer to the studio bank account (made 3 working days prior to the day of the rehearsal - please inform me if you wish to pay by this method):
If a member of your band cannot afford to pay their share, it is the responsibility of the rest of the band to pay the cost of the session in full – it is not the responsibility of the studios to absorb the cost or manage debts on behalf of bands – please be respectful of this. If a payment is not made in full by the end of a rehearsal, an automatic £10 charge will be added irrelevant of the amount left unpaid. £10 or 20% (whichever is the greater) of the total amount owed will be added every week (7 days) thereafter until the total amount is settled. Cancellations:I require 3 days notice in order to cancel a session without the individual / band incurring a charge. For example, if you were to rehearse at 6pm on a Thursday evening, I would need to be made aware of your intent to cancel by 6pm on the Monday beforehand. If a session is cancelled with less than 3 days to go, the full cost of the session must be met by the band, unless another band book the same session in the same studio at the same price. Cancelling last minute bookings:For bookings made up to 3 days before the session, a cancellation the same day is not subject to a cancellation fee. A cancellation the day before or on the day is subject to a 100% cancellation fee. Cancellations on the day:Cancellations on the day of rehearsal are subject to 100% of the cost of the session. Moving sessions:If possible, a sessions can be moved to either start earlier or finish later depending on studio availability. If you reduce the session duration up to 3 days before the session or on the day, the full cost of the original booking must be paid. The reduction in hours is classed as a cancellation and must be covered unless another band book that time. Cancellations due to freak weather conditions:Whilst it is a fairly rare occurrence, occasionally it may be necessary to cancel a rehearsal due to bad weather conditions (flooding, heavy snowfall etc). When this is the case, 50% of the session must be paid for by the band. Supervision:Rehearsal sessions at the Rhoom Studios are UNSUPERVISED. Assistance is always avaialble over the phone and should a customer ever encounter a problem they cannot resolve, I (or a superviser) will endeavour to come to the studio to assist. If you are booking a session for a band containing minors (persons under the age of 18), you, or a responsible adult designated by yourself, is responsible for the minor/s and liable for their actions, should they cause any damage to studio property. Age restrictions:Persons under the age of 18 are not permitted to book a session at the Rhoom Studios. When booking a session, you will be asked to confirm you are over the age of 18. Minors (persons under the age of 18) may use the studio facilities if they are supervised at all times by a responsible adult. Breakages and damages to studio equipment:The studios are audited regularly and thoroughly and any damage to equipment is recorded. Wear and tear to studio equipment such as accidental scuffs and marks are manageable. However, if an item of equipment has been significantly damaged and not immediately reported to myself, the individual / band is liable to pay 100% of the cost of a replacement plus any losses the business has made as a result. If the damage is reported immediately, the situation will be assessed and a monetary figure will be agreed to be paid by the individual / band of anywhere between 50% and 100% of the cost of a replacement. If the individual / band refuse to pay or ignore efforts to contact them, a legal route will be pursued and if necessary, the case will be taken to court. Theft:The studios operate a zero tolerance policy regarding theft. No matter what the value of the item is that is taken, procedures will be followed, fines will be dealt and where possible, legal action will be taken against those individuals. Equipment must not be moved between studios without prior notice and my prior agreement. In each studio, you will find:
All bands are asked to please confirm that all of this equipment is present at the start and end of their rehearsal. Anything missing at the end of the session will be charged at the following costs:
Door Locks / KeysIf you unlock a studio door, the door key must be immediately replaced in the approriate keysafe. If you take a door key off site for any amount of time, you will be required to pay the full cost of a replacement lock and any labour costs incurred. Smoking:Smoking is NOT permitted in any of the studios. Anyone caught smoking will be asked to leave immediately.
Drugs:The studios operate a zero tolerance policy on drugs. If you are found to be in possession of or suspected of bringing ANY CLASS of drugs onto the premises, you will be asked to leave and reported to the police.
Food / Drink / Chewing Gum:Food and drink are allowed on site. Any damages to equipment caused by spillages will be charged to the individual/band plus any losses the business makes as a direct result. Anyone found spitting chewing gum on the floor of the studio will be fined £100 per occurrence. Please be respectful and put it in the bin. If you do not agree to any of these terms and conditions, please do not book a rehearsal. |
